The kill-shot on hover
The interrupt bind, spec-proof. Hover the caster, press, kick. Fallback to current target when your cursor is in the void:
#showtooltip/stopcasting/cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead] Counter Shot; [harm] Counter Shot
The misdirection pair
Misdirection is a two-step (target your tank, then transfer threat) and the macro makes both steps one key. Focus holds the tank, the chain holds the rest:
#showtooltip/cast [@focus,help,nodead] Misdirection; [@mouseover,help,nodead] Misdirection; Misdirection
Focus the tank once at pull, and every later press of this key sends threat their way. Focus mechanics are on the targeting page.
The pet that raises itself
The retail pet chain: summon if missing, dismiss on right-click, attack on your word. The full family is on the pet macros page:
#showtooltip/cast Call Pet/petattack/startattack
And the lone wolf call
Dismiss on demand, for the mechanics that hate pets and the moments you want phantom presence instead:
#showtooltip/cast Call Pet
Careful with hunter pets retail: some abilities (Feign Death and friends) interact with your pet's state. Keep /petdismiss on a spare key for those moments, and the Call Pet raise above brings it straight back. That is the whole modern hunter load: interrupt on hover, misdirect on focus, pet on a leash. Everything else in the kit is a rotation and belongs on theaddon side of the line.
