Skyborne macros

Beta-verified as of Sep 23, 2026. The new race's ability details are still forming, so this page teaches the prep pattern, not a fake bind.

The honest opener

A new race arrives with an unconfirmed kit, and a macro site has two options: invent binds, or teach the pattern the binds will use. This page is the second option, and it dates itself on purpose. When Forever's beta confirms the Skyborne kit, this page grows real macros; until then, it grows the shapes.

The race kit, pattern by pattern

Every race's useful racials land in one of three bind shapes. When the Skyborne kit is confirmed, it will fit these:

#showtooltip/stopcasting/cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead] <race offensive or cc>; [harm] <race offensive or cc>
#showtooltip/cast [@player,combat] <race defensive>; <race utility>
#showtooltip/cast [button:2] Dismount; <race movement or flight>; <flying mount>; <ground mount>

Fill in the angle-bracket names the day the kit lands and each bind works the same night. The shapes themselves are the site's standard patterns:mouseover, modifier, and mount chain.

The prep checklist while beta is open

  • Watch the beta class/race notes for the Skyborne racial list (this page updates the week they land).
  • Prebuild the three shapes above in your macro window, named for the race, not the spell.
  • Name binds after intent (interrupt, escape, mount) so a rename never breaks the name.
  • Check the Forever hub for the date-stamped status of everything macro-related.

Why this page exists

The Skyborne search wave will arrive with the race. When it does, this page is the place that says "here is what is confirmed, here is the kit so far, and here are the binds". That is a better answer than a page of invented macros that stop working the day the beta changes one name. The macro system itself is unchanged in Forever, and the guide andcommand reference are current for launch day.

Questions people ask

What is the Skyborne race?+
Skyborne is the new playable race announced for WoW: Forever (launching November 4, 2026), described in the expansion announcements as part of a first-age Azeroth. Specific racial abilities have not been fully detailed as of this page's date, which is exactly why this page teaches the prep pattern instead of specific binds.
Why no ready-made Skyborne macros?+
Because macros keyed to specific ability names would be fiction until the abilities are confirmed. The honest version is the build-your-own kit below: the bind shapes that will host whatever the race's kit turns out to be.
Will Skyborne have racials worth macroing?+
Every race has something: a movement ability, a defensive, a utility. When the kit lands, the race's useful binds will be the interrupt-shaped and movement-shaped ones, and the patterns on this page are where they slot in.
