What Forever is
World of Warcraft: Forever is the next full expansion, launching November 4, 2026 with beta running now. Its pitch (worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/en-us/forever, confirmed Sep 2026): Azeroth anchored in WoW's first age, over 1,000 new quests, a new race (Skyborne), revamps to all classes and specializations, a new Camping system, and revised Professions and Honor. It is a launch built on returning players, and returning players re-do their bars.
What Forever means for macros
Three things, in decreasing size:
- The macro system is unchanged. Standard /macro, conditionals, modifiers, castsequence: all present in the beta and behaving as this site documents. The macro window is a launch-day constant, and every page on this site applies on day one.
- The class revamps will rename abilities. "Revamps to all classes and specializations" means some spell names change, and your lazy binds keyed to old names will silently stop working. That is the real Forever macro work: a spellbook review, not a rebuild.
- The macro search wave is coming. Every expansion launch surges macro queries as players come back and re-bind their kits. That wave is why this page exists, and it is a launch-week play, not something to pre-rank.
Your Forever macro checklist
- Back up your WTF folder now, before launch, and again after your first session.
- Print or note your binds: which key has your interrupt, your cleanse, your cooldown chord.
- After the revamp patch drops, diff your spellbook against your macros. One-word renames are the norm.
- Bind your new-class utilities (Skyborne included) with the patterns on this site.
- Re-check this hub a week after launch for the rename list and class-revamp notes.
The launch-day setup guide walks the checklist in detail, and the Skyborne page covers the new race. Everything else on this site is the macro knowledge you will need when the leveling wave starts. Updated as of Sep 23, 2026; this page gets a revision pass at launch and again when the first Forever patch notes land.
